Later, I found information on the web suggerting that cranberry can actually worsen cystitis, especially in cases of interstitial cystitis which I think I may have.

I believe that cranberry juice may help sufferers with a fresh infection but for those with recurring cystitis I always reccomend antibacterial herbs, probiotics, sometimes antifungals (depending on the presenting picture) as well as supplements to nourish the bladder lining such as Arginine and Gotu Kola.

I have to admit I haven't tried the whole IC treatment regime yeat, which would involve all of the above plus alkilising the system with plenty of greens, a superfood green blend such as Pure Synergy and plenty of coconut water.

I hope that my new diet will get me there. Eating a lot of living food motivates me and gives me so much energy that it finally feels possible to tackle massive seemingly massive issues like IC. In the past I would just get depressed and give up.

I think you are absolutely right about the colonics. I have been very lucky to find a great thearapist near me; in fact my BF is there right now and I am going for my first appointment on Friday. I am so excited!! I am sure that this will do so much for my whole system.

I have written all about it on my new blog,

www.diaryofalondonrawgirl.wordpress.com

It would be so great if you could check it out and favourite it. You can comment there without signing up to wordpress. I have not yet decided where to locate my blog, I am waiting for my BF to be available so he can help me with all the techy stuff, so for now I will check up on both to read my friends' blogs and answer messages and I will copy the posts over soon.

Thanks for commenting!!

In response to:One day to go...

Did you know that crqanberry juice can help combat cystitis type problems? But you can't take it if you are taking Warfarin as it interferes.

As far as the pelvic pain goes, have you considered something like colonic irrigation? I don't know if you know this, but if you are having repeated occurences of constipation, you can get backed up hardened faeces in the bowel. As the new faeces is trying to come thru, it expands the hardened areas causing pain. Voice of experience here!

In response to:Healthy Habits?

Thanks for the feedback!!

A great recipe that I have been using consists of a whole scrubbed, organic unwaxed lemon or lime, a good chunk of fennel, a clove of garlic and a few celery sticks. Then add one apple for taste and more as you need it depending on how much of a veggie virgin you are. Its sweet and zingy and the lemon pith and peel will really activate all of the vitamin C.

If you don't have a really powerful juicer you could try blending the lemon with a blender, food processor or smoothie maker. You can use cucumber instead of celery as it juices more easily.

You can leave out anything you don't particularly fancy and it will still be a great juice.

Hope you like it!!
Your an inspiration hun (especially after i've been sulking recently on the 'no coleslaw') Actually, would you be able to let me know a receipe for a juice drink that would be great for a 'get up n go' attitude first thing in the morning?
Im looking forward to reading more! xxx

In response to:Healthy Habits?

Good luck indeed, let us know how it goes. And would it be too much to ask for a list of what you're eating (or ideas anyway) as I can't get past the thought that it would be a bit limited on variety? Gosh. I thought a raw diet was something you would have to build up to, to expel the built-up toxins over a period rather than a full body blast. I shall be very interested to see how you get on.
